Key findings

  • Total port calls in China fell 2.8 percent month on month to 22,576 in July 2026, down from 23,233 in June 2026.
  • General cargo calls rose 13.1 percent to 2,208 calls, while the other/offshore category fell 12.6 percent to 2,008 calls.
  • Shanghai Hongqiao led all ports with 2,475 calls, followed by Zhoushan with 1,319 calls and Dalian with 1,261 calls, together accounting for 22.4 percent of national traffic.
