Check a vessel or company for sanctions
Search sanctions lists for a vessel, company or person, and read the entity's sanctions profile.
Sanctions Search in Maritime Intelligence is a quick first-pass check of a vessel, company, or person name against the sanctions and watch lists the platform follows, and it shows which list an entity appears on. Use it for a fast initial look before deeper due diligence; it is not a full compliance review. Sanctions risk also appears on every vessel profile and in result lists, explained in Vessel risk statuses.
Open Sanctions Search
Click Vessel Intelligence in the top navigation, then the Sanctions Search tab.
Enter a name and press Enter
In Type vessel, company, person name, type the name and press Enter. Part of a name works. The results list each match with its Type (Vessel, Company, Person) and Risk tags.

Note: Not every entity on a list is sanctioned. Some appear because of regulated activity. Read the Risk tags: Sanctioned means sanctioned, while tags such as Sanction-Linked, Person of Interest or Regulatory Warning mean a connection or a watch-list entry.
No results means the name doesn’t match any entity on the lists.
Open an entity
Click a name to open its sanctions profile in a new tab. The top shows its type and risk tags. Entity Information shows when it was first and last seen on the lists, its country, names and previous names, and for a vessel its IMO, types, flags and build date.

See who sanctioned it
Sanctioning Bodies lists every list the entity appears on, such as the UK FCDO Sanctions List or the EU Sanctions Map. Notes gives the stated reasons and measures.

Go to the vessel
For a vessel, click Show Vessel at the top to open its profile. A sanctioned vessel’s profile has a red Sanctions risk banner. Its Ownership and Sanctions Compliance cards show whether the owner and managers are also listed. See Read a vessel profile.
Note: Sanctioned vessels often change name. Search by IMO number, or check Previous name(s) on the entity profile. EAGLE S, for example, now sails as AMI.
Note: Sanctions data is updated continuously, but it is one input to your compliance process, not a substitute for it.
