Türkiye recorded 5,458 port calls in August 2026, up 15.5% from 4,725 calls in July 2026. Three vessel types swung more than 50% month over month, led by Other (incl. offshore), which rose 143.2% to 608 calls, and Ro-Ro / Vehicle, which rose 117.0% to 588 calls.

Key findings

  • Türkiye recorded 5,458 port calls in August 2026, up 15.5% from 4,725 calls in July 2026.
  • Other (incl. offshore) rose 143.2% to 608 calls, Ro-Ro / Vehicle rose 117.0% to 588 calls, and LNG Carrier rose 66.7% to 5 calls, while General Cargo remained the largest category at 1,576 calls (28.9% share), down 3.8%.
  • Istanbul led all ports with 506 calls (9.3% share), followed by Nemrut with 394 calls (7.2% share) and Iskenderun with 363 calls (6.7% share), together accounting for 23.2% of national port calls.
