  • Sri Lanka recorded 676 port calls in July 2026, up 11.0 percent from 609 calls in June 2026.
  • General cargo calls fell 42.9 percent to 40 calls, while container calls, the largest category, rose 15.2 percent to 318 calls.
  • Port activity was heavily concentrated at Colombo, which alone recorded 393 calls, a 58.1 percent share, followed by Galle with 101 calls (14.9 percent), Hambantota with 94 calls (13.9 percent), and Trincomalee with 88 calls (13.0 percent).
