Key findings

  • Oman recorded 845 port calls in August 2026, an increase of 37.4% from 615 calls in July 2026.
  • LNG Carrier calls rose 118.8% to 35 calls (4.1% share), Other (incl. offshore) rose 70.6% to 87 calls (10.3% share), and General Cargo rose 53.3% to 92 calls (10.9% share), while Tanker (all types) remained the largest category at 254 calls (30.1% share), up 38.0%.
  • Sohar led all ports by a wide margin with 377 calls (44.6% share), followed by Salalah with 176 calls (20.8% share) and Duqm with 126 calls (14.9% share), together accounting for 80.3% of national port calls.
