Key findings

  • Total port calls fell 25.7% month on month to 5,101 in July 2026, down from 6,862 in June 2026.
  • Ro-Ro and vehicle calls posted the steepest movement, falling 46.1% to 959 calls, while general cargo calls fell 18.0% to 1,284 calls and other and offshore calls, the largest category, fell 22.7% to 1,969 calls.
  • Port activity was highly dispersed, with no single port commanding more than 7% of national traffic; Tananger led with 331 calls, a 6.5% share, followed by Tromso with 316 calls and Kristiansund with 258 calls.
