  • Total port calls in Canada rose 65.1% month on month to 4,106 in August 2026, up from 2,487 in July 2026.
  • Ro-Ro / Vehicle calls surged 314.8% to 1,398 calls, becoming the largest vessel type category at a 34.0% share, while Other (incl. offshore) also grew, up 45.7% to 1,007 calls for a 24.5% share.
  • Vancouver led all ports with 1,004 calls, a 24.5% share, followed by Montreal with 319 calls and Nanaimo with 244 calls, together accounting for 38.2% of national port calls.
