Operational Capacity and FacilitiesSpanning a grand total of 270,000 square meters, Sedef Shipyard stands as Turkey’s premier private shipbuilding facility in terms of both size and capability—with 194,000 m² allocated to its Tuzla operation and 76,000 m² to the Orhanlı plant. The shipyard boasts substantial indoor production areas, amassing 51,000 m² in Tuzla and 12,000 m² in Orhanlı.
Advanced Shipbuilding and Repair CapabilitiesSedef Shipyard has the capacity to manage shipbuilding projects up to 600,000 DWT annually, and operates Turkey’s one of the largest dry docks that supports the construction, repair, and maintenance of vessels up to 180,000 DWT. This includes the ability to hoist 1,050 tons in the dry dock area and 500 tons on the quay side. The shipyard prides itself on being a leading example in taking care of its workforce, the ocean, and the environmental by hosting Turkey’s most cutting-edge and eco-friendly indoor painting facilities.
