LABUAN SHIPYARD & ENGINEERING SDN BHD

About

Overview of the Facility

Our core activities are situated within a fabrication yard encompassing an expanse of 60 acres, nestled in the serene duty-free island of Labuan, Malaysia, which is positioned precisely at the gateway of Brunei Bay, marked by coordinates 5°18’ North and 115°15’ East.

Historical Context and Strategic Importance

Since its inception in the year 1972, the facility has benefitted from unhindered deep-sea access and natural protection against the seasonal monsoons, all the while being advantageously placed near the epicenter of the heavily frequented maritime corridors in the South China Sea.

Future Expansion Plans

In addition, the yard is bolstered by an additional land reserve of 28 acres on the island, a provision deliberately made to accommodate prospective expansions.
