Introduction to TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING

TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING operates from three main locations: the TSUNEISHI Factory located in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan; TSUNEISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES (CEBU), Inc. situated on Cebu Island in the Philippines; and TSUNEISHI GROUP (ZHOUSHAN) SHIPBUILDING, Inc. in Zhoushan City, China. Originating as wooden ship manufacturers over a hundred years ago, the company has boldly pursued international expansion, showcasing a relentless and pioneering spirit in shipbuilding that has positioned it at the forefront of the industry today.

Global Expansion and Innovation

In the 1990s, TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING ventured into the Philippine market, marking its initial step towards international expansion in an industry where overseas growth was not commonly successful. Nevertheless, with determination, the company set a solid groundwork that would later support expansion into China. This strategic growth has enabled TSUNEISHI to maintain a competitive advantage through cost-effective operations and a capacity to weather currency fluctuations. Moreover, it has developed a worldwide network for shipbuilding that assures the delivery of vessels consistent with TSUNEISHI's quality standards, whether constructed at home or abroad.

Diverse Product Range

Specializing in bulk carriers as its principal offering, TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING also supplies an array of container carriers and tankers to meet a variety of market demands. A notable highlight in its portfolio is the 82,000 DWT Kamsarmax bulk carrier, a model that has reached a milestone of 300 vessels delivered. This carrier not only captures the largest global market share in its category but has also set an industry benchmark through its registered trademark.

Adapting and Looking Ahead

TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING has skillfully navigated the shifts required for growth, always with an eye on the future. The company is dedicated to accumulating all of its technical capabilities to propose and construct state-of-the-art vessels that address contemporary maritime requirements. By committing to innovation and creating newfound value, TSUNEISHI continues to solidify its leadership position in shipbuilding, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of tomorrow's industry landscape.
