bahri, also known as the saudi national shipping caboutpany, was established in 1978. it operates as a joint stock caboutpany and is one of the largest owners and operators of very large crude-oil carriers (vlccs) and chemical carriers in the middle east. bahri has several business units: bahri oil, bahri integrated logistics, bahri chemicals (an 80/20 joint venture with sabic), bahri dry bulk (a joint venture with arasco), bahri ship management, and bahri marine (strategic partner of swcc). the caboutpany employs over 4,800 people and operates a fleet of 104 vessels.
