The business was established in 1989 by Captain Adair Craigie-Lucas after coming ashore following a career at sea spanning some 25 years. Capt. Craigie-Lucas remains the principal and Managing Director of the Company. The key personnel in the company are all ex-seafarers - deck officers with many years practical experience at sea in all types of vessel. The business of Lucas Marine Services Ltd is broadly divided into three parts: Marine Surveying, Shipping Agency, Shipping Consultancy.
