SOGEMCO operates as a shipping agency in Algeria, with its own offices and staff in the largest commercial Algerian ports. It does not use sub-agents. Founded in Oran in 1997 as COGEMAR Sarl, it was renamed SOGEMCO in 2002. Since 2008, it has been a majority owned subsidiary of Naxco Group, a major shipping and logistics provider.
