  • Total port calls rose 29.9% month-on-month to 13,837 in August 2026, up from 10,649 in July 2026.
  • Ro-Ro / Vehicle calls recorded the steepest month-on-month increase of any vessel type, up 117.9% to 1,329 calls, while Other (incl. offshore) remained the leading category at 41.7% share.
  • Fourchon led port activity with 973 calls (7.0% share), followed by Houston with 697 calls (5.0%) and New Orleans with 453 calls (3.3%), together accounting for 15.3% of national port calls.
