The United Kingdom recorded 5,909 port calls in September 2026, up 13.6% from 5,202 in August 2026. LNG Carrier calls rose 114.3% to 30, the only vessel type to move by more than 50%.

Key findings

  • LNG Carrier rose 114.3% to 30 calls, while Other (incl. offshore) led with 1,311 calls (22.2%, up 19.7%) and General Cargo rose 20.1% to 1,163.
  • Port activity is led by Immingham with 392 calls (6.6%), Aberdeen with 390 calls (6.6%), and Southampton with 277 calls (4.7%), which together account for 17.9% of national calls.
  • The United Kingdom is the leading origin with 3,094 calls (52.4%) and the leading destination with 3,094 calls (52.9%), with the Netherlands second in both directions.
