Spain recorded 9,046 port calls in August 2026, up 50.9% from 5,994 calls in July 2026. Ro-Ro / Vehicle calls more than doubled to 4,108, a 106.2% increase that made it the leading vessel type at 45.4% share of national traffic.

  • Spain recorded 9,046 port calls in August 2026, up 50.9% from 5,994 calls in July 2026.
  • Ro-Ro / Vehicle calls rose 106.2% to 4,108 (45.4% share), while Other (incl. offshore) rose 79.2% to 1,179 calls and LNG Carrier rose 53.7% to 63 calls.
  • Algeciras led all ports with 1,194 calls (13.2% share), followed by Las Palmas with 801 calls (8.9% share) and Barcelona with 745 calls (8.2% share), together accounting for 30.3% of national port calls.
