Saudi Arabia recorded 1,138 port calls in August 2026, a decrease of 58.7% from 2,757 calls in July 2026. Five vessel types declined by more than 50% month on month, led by tanker calls, which fell 87.5% to 84.

  • Total port calls fell 58.7% month on month to 1,138, down from 2,757 in July 2026.
  • Tanker calls fell 87.5% to 84, bulk carrier calls fell 78.8% to 73, general cargo calls fell 72.2% to 55, LPG carrier calls fell 71.4% to 8, and container calls fell 51.6% to 197.
  • Jeddah led all ports with 289 calls, followed by Al Jubail with 242 and Zuluf with 180, together accounting for 62.5% of national port calls.
