Key findings

  • Total port calls in Brazil rose 5.8% month on month to 3,888 in August 2026, up from 3,675 in July 2026.
  • Other (incl. offshore) was the largest mover, rising 36.8% to 1,356 calls for a 34.9% share, overtaking Bulk Carrier, which declined 7.8% to 807 calls, while Tanker (all types) also fell, down 17.2% to 481 calls.
  • Santos led all ports with 512 calls, a 13.2% share, followed by Carmopolis Terminal with 392 calls and Rio de Janeiro with 365 calls, together accounting for 32.7% of national port calls.
