Spanning an impressive 87 hectares, the Admiralty Yard operated by Sembcorp Marine is heralded for its extensive expertise in the fabrication of tankers, bulk carriers, and various types of cargo and container ships. Additionally, it has carved out a niche for itself in the specialized areas of passenger ship upgrading/conversion, FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) conversions, enhancements and new constructions of offshore structures, comprehensive ship lengthening, restoration of damaged vessels, fabrication of chemical tankers, LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) carriers, other types of gas carriers, and the maintenance of naval vessels.
Unique Features and FacilitiesThe yard boasts naturally deep and secure docking facilities, with water depths ranging from 11 to 15 meters, supplemented by a wide range of services. These services encompass dust-free cryogenic workshops and both in-water and at-anchor repair operations. Among its facilities, the shipyard takes pride in its 100,000 dwt (Deadweight tonnage) drydock, one of the most profound in Southeast Asia, with a depth of 13.1 meters. This feature enables the accommodation of cruise ships and naval fleets without any size constraints. Furthermore, the site is specially designed to facilitate the efficient assembly of offshore platforms and systems.
Capacity and InnovationsWith an annual production capability nearing 45,000 tonnes, the shipyard distinguishes itself as the pioneering establishment in Southeast Asia to produce fixed platforms prepared for the North Sea conditions, adhering to the stringent NORSOK standards. This milestone underscores its commitment to delivering projects that meet the rigorous demands of the energy sector.
