The Yantai CIMC Raffles Ocean Technology Group, commonly known as CIMC Raffles Group, was inaugurated on May 24th, 2022. This enterprise emerged through a strategic partnership between the CIMC Group, which owns an 83.3% stake, and the Yantai Guofeng Group, holding the remaining 16.7%.

Its diversified portfolio extends to the investment in Yantai Jinghai Marine Fishery Co.,Ltd. and Shenzhen Intelligent Offshore Manufacturing Innovation Center Co.,Ltd., facilitated through CIMC Offshore Co.,Ltd(Shenzhen). Additionally, it champions a global R&D network with offshore design centers based in Europe, fostering a synergistic research environment between China and Europe.

Historic Milestones and Achievements

Tracing its roots back to Yantai Shipyard established in 1977, the group has a rich history of pioneering developments in the maritime sector. Notables include crafting the first bottom-sitting drilling platform in 1978 and delivering sophisticated marine apparatus such as the "Blue Whale I" ultra-deep water semi-submersible drilling platform. It also constructed the foremost marine ranch platform and intelligent deep-water cage in China, delivered the largest salmon aquaculture vessel globally, and stands behind Asia's biggest Ro-Ro transport ship. Particularly noteworthy, the "Blue Whale" series have been instrumental in China's combustible ice extraction projects, achieving several global records.
