The Freeport of Riga is a key logistics center in the Baltic region, strategically positioned at the crossroads of Eurasian land and sea transport routes and in the center of the Baltic States. The port employs over 4000 people, includes more than 200 companies (including 35 cargo terminals and 32 ship agents), and handled 18.1 million tons of cargo and 2669 vessels in 2024. The port's companies contributed over 190 million euros to Latvia's GDP in 2024.
